Mujeres, Cuerpos, Voces y Territorio: A reflection on women’s identity and belonging
An International Women’s Day exhibition at Casa Anam
This March 8, Casa Anam in Manantiales opens its doors to Mujeres, Cuerpos, Voces y Territorio, a group exhibition curated by Mariela Soldano and organized by Puertas Adentro – casa de artista .
Bringing together six artists from Uruguay, Argentina, Brazil, and Venezuela, the exhibition explores themes of identity, memory, belonging, and territory through painting, sculpture, and photography. The works invite viewers of all ages to reflect on what it means to inhabit a body, a place, and a shared cultural landscape.
For families, this is a meaningful opportunity to engage in conversation around International Women’s Day through contemporary artistic practice. The exhibition creates space to talk about women’s voices, resilience, and collective experience — topics that resonate deeply within both local and global contexts.
Participating artists include María Mercedes Aldaz, Penélope Miranda, Flavia Ocando, Melina Rubin, Paula Sammartino, and Verónica Tirone , each contributing a unique perspective to this shared dialogue.
We encourage families interested in contemporary art and cultural experiences in our region to consider attending the opening and supporting this initiative within our community.
