Discovering the Space Behind Art — Children’s Experience at MACA

Mar 28, 2026

The Museo de Arte Contemporáneo Atchugarry (MACA) presents a children’s artistic experience inspired by the work of Lucio Fontana, designed as an engaging and hands-on introduction to key ideas in contemporary art.

Through a participatory, immersive, and creative approach developed by Ana Raab (Amo Cartón), children begin with a guided visit to the exhibition, where concepts such as cut, space, and depth are explored in an accessible way through Fontana’s work. The experience then unfolds inside a large-scale immersive installation made entirely of cardboard, inviting participants to inhabit the artwork and explore space “from within.”

The process concludes with a creative workshop in which each participant develops their own three-dimensional piece inside a cardboard box, using color, materials, and perforation as expressive tools inspired by the experience.
